Get Pennsylvania vital records online

May 26, 2008 at 6:12 am » Comments (0)

Recently, many states have helped in the cause of genealogical research by making their vital records available online.  I received an e-mail earlier today about an effort to have Pennsylvania records more accessible:
Here is the link to the website about the grassroots effort to get older Pennsylvania state death certificates available online like they have [...]

April 20, 2008 at 1:34 pm » Comments (0)

As you know, we had posted photographs taken by many individuals of various Roblee gravesites. As previously mentioned, my photography site hosting company has recently undertaken a major upgrading of its hosting services, and one change is necessary for individuals to view any of the photo albums I’ve shared.
From now on, it will be necessary [...]

This year the Bowne House Historical Society in New York marks the 350th anniversary of a significant event for religious freedom. From the society’s news release:
On December 27, 1657, thirty townspeople of Flushing, Queens signed a “remonstrance” addressed to Peter Stuyvesant, the director general of the Dutch colony, New Netherland. The two-page letter, set down [...]

Web site redesign

February 7, 2007 at 8:44 pm » Comments (0)

I’m in the process of a complete overall of the Greencity web site. Since Microsoft is abandoning Front Page2003 in favor of a new web page design program, and since its new program doesn’t work very well with MySQL data bases (I store my family history data in one, and this web log in another), [...]

Detling Family Data Base Updated

June 1, 2006 at 8:16 pm » Comments (0)

My searchable family tree data base has just been updated. This data base includes details on more than 8,300 individuals and 3,000 plus families. Because the server software-the Next Generation Genealogy-has been updated to version 5.1.3, users should re-register. The old registration data base was deleted. During the upgrading process as it was corrupted in [...]
